Manchester and Lancashire Family History Society (MLFHS) has added records for 20 burial sites in the Bolton, Lancashire area (see listing below) comprising over 52,000 memorial inscriptions carefully transcribed to computerised format. The records date back to 1555.

MLFHS is one of the largest family history societies in the UK and a member of Manchester's Archives+ partnership. The society, a registered charity founded 50 years ago, has a branch specialising in family history research in Bolton.
