The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is situated next to the Thames in north-east London and was one of six London Boroughs to host the 2012 Summer Olympics. The borough was formed from an amalgamation of large parts of the Municipal Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham in 1965, due to the London Government Act of 1963. Originally the borough was named the London Borough of Barking and became the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in 1980.

Records on Deceased Online

  • Chadwell Heath Cemetery, 16,681 records from 1934 to 2019
  • Eastbrookend Cemetery, 23,066 records from 1914 to 2019
  • Rippleside Cemetery, 62,622 records from 1886 to 2019

The records comprise scans of the burial registers up to 2006* and computerised data thereafter, and grave details for each of the graves and their occupants.

* Unfortunately some of the very early scans for Rippleside were badly corrupted and therefore some records from the 1890s and early 1900s are computerised data only.
